Hickinbotham Bros.

Stockton CA

Most recent update: August 31 2021.

The Hickinbothams started in business in 1852 and the company continues in operation today. The shipyard was established in 1942 as Hickinbotham's Construction Division, in partnership with Ronald Guntert and L. R. Zimmerman. It was located in downtown Stockton, on the Banner Island waterfront: you can see it from the air on Google here. After the war, Guntert and Zimmerman bought Hickinbotham's interest in the shipyard and established Guntert & Zimmerman Construction. G & Z moved to Ripon CA in 1984 and continues in business there.
