Skinner & Eddy

Seattle WA

Skinner & Eddy operated only during WWI, building cargo ships initially for export and then for the USSB. The shipyard was located on the downtown Seattle waterfront, at the foot of Atlantic Street, immediately to the south of Todd's original Seattle shipyard, the former Seattle Dry Dock & Construction. In May 1918, Todd sold its yard to the Emergency Fleet Corporation, which combined it with Skinner & Eddy's yard. Skinner & Eddy completed several Todd contracts and there may be some overlap between the two companies' records.
