Southeastern Shipbuilding

Savannah GA

Most recent update: August 7, 2021.

The development of this shipyard was started by Savannah Shipyards, Inc., but was taken over by MARCOM in early 1942 and assigned to Southeastern Shipbuilding Corporation. Its 3 ways were increased to 6 in the fourth wave of shipbuilding expansion, with $13mm from MARCOM. The shipyard was located in East Savannah. See what I think is the site from the air on Google here. It closed after the war.
