Kaiser Richmond No. 4

Richmond #4 was an emergency yard developed by Kaiser Cargo, Inc., with 3 ways in the fifth wave of shipbuilding expansion. It was originally intended to be an expansion of Richmond #3 and was designated Richmond #3A, but was assigned separate management and renamed Richmond #4. It closed at the end of the war. The yard was located on the south side of the inner end of the channel, at Wharf Street. See the site from the air on Google here.
