Hingham MA

Most recent update: August 7, 2021.

Bethlehem Hingham Shipyards, Inc., was built in 1941 for the construction of destroyer escorts, with $35mm from the Navy. It had 16 ways, was managed by Bethlehem Quincy and, at its peak, employed over 23,000 people. The yard was walking distance east of the main Quincy yard, on the north side of Lincoln Street. See it from the air on Google here. After the war, the yard was closed and liquidated.
