Martinac Shipbuilding

Tacoma WA

Most recent update: September 30, 2020.

Joseph M. Martinac started the J. M. Martinac Shipbuilding Corp. In 1924 and built a tremendous record of production of commercial and governmental boats. Sadly, it closed in 2014 and the property has been sold for development. The yard was on the east side of the Thea Foss Waterway, at the foot of East 15th Street. See it from the air on Google here.
