Humboldt Boat Service was started by by George and Jerry Holtgrewe in 1953. It stopped building boats in the downturn of the 1980s but is still operated as a repair facility. It was sold to Kenny Tubbs in 1993 and to Budrovich Marine in 2013. The yard is at 300 Humboldt Avenue. See it from the air on Google here.
