Homeport Marine Services

Moss Point MS

Most recent update: February 21, 2016.

Quality Shipbuilders was started by Carl Partin in 1972. It ceased active shipbuilding when the market collapsed in 1982 but was reactivated in 1989 as Homeport Marine Services, with Jack Edwards as co-owner and President. The yard was immediately to the west of Halter's Moss Point yard, on the other side of Red Oak Lane. See it from the air on Google here. Homeport Marine was acquired by Halter in 1995 and the yard was merged with Halter Moss Point.
