Coastal Minesweepers

(AMc) Built or Acquired Through WWII

Most recent update: April 18, 2015.

During WWII, a total of 70 wooden-hulled coastal minesweepers, even smaller than the YMSs, were built in 15 boatyards. There was only one basic design - the 97-foot, 10-knot "Accentor" class. In addition, 45 fishing vessels were acquired and converted into minesweepers.
