Hickinbotham Bros.
Stockton CA
The Hickinbothams started in business in 1852 and the company continues in operation today. The shipyard was established in 1942 as Hickinbotham's Construction Division, in partnership with Ronald Guntert and L. R. Zimmerman. It was located in downtown Stockton, on the Banner Island waterfront. After the war, Guntert and Zimmerman bought Hickinbotham's interest in the shipyard and established Guntert & Zimmerman Construction. G & Z moved to Ripon CA in 1984 and continues in business there.
