Elizabeth City Shipyard
Elizabeth City NC
The Elizabeth City Shipyard was originally a division of the Elizabeth City Iron Works and Supply Company, formed in 1914 from the merger of the T. B. Hayman and E. S. Willey shipyards. It continued as a repair yard after the war but closed in the mid-1960s. The site on Riverside Avenue is now a marina, the owner of which plans to build condos on the site.
