Pensacola Shipbuilding Company was a wholly owned subsidiary of Ketler-Elliot Erection Company of Chicago, created for the war effort. It continued in peacetime and was an active boatbuilder in WWII under the ownership of C. W. Smith. The yard was located at the foot of Myrick Street, on the eastern shore of Bayou Chico, and is today a part of the Pensacola Shipyard Marine Complex.
