SENESCO, (Southeastern New England Shipbuilding Company), was created in 1999 in a surplus DoD property on Narragansett Bay: it specializes in tank barges. Unfortunately, it over-reached with a contract to build a large ATB for US Shipping Partners and was sold to Reinauer Transportation in October 2006.
