This yard, originally known as Camcraft, was established in 1965 in Crown Point by Cameron Thompson, moving across the GIWW to Jean Lafitte in 1977 and closing in 1983. It was then bought by Sal Guarino, the famous naval architect, and renamed Aluminum Boats, Inc. It was acquired by Trinity Marine in 1988 and consolidated with Halter's Equitable yard in New Orleans in 1995: the yard in Jean Lafitte was then closed.
