Hornblower Shipyards

The shipyard in Bridgeport was built on land provided by the Port of Bridgeport in 2001 and leased to Bob Derecktor: the plan was to allow Derecktor to build ferries and other larger vessels, allowing them to concentrate on yachts at the main Derecktor yard in Mamaroneck. Derecktor Connecticut failed in 2011 and the yard subsequently became Bridgeport Boatworks, a repair facility, but was taken over by Hornblower in 2021. See it from the air on Google here.
