Central Gulf Shipyard, LLC, was created by Clyde Sneed, of Sneed Shipbuilding, and Mitch Jones on the site that had previously been used by Oil Barges, Inc., to build and repair inland drilling barges. It closed in December 2015. The yard, which is now deserted, is on the Commercial Canal, at 5310 Cornelius P. Voorhies Road. See it from the air on Google here.
