Crawford & Reid

Tacoma WA

F. M. Crawford, a lumber merchant, started this shipyard in the late 1890s and was later joined by Captain James Reid, who was an experienced shipbuilder: they closed it in 1914. It was located next to Babare Bros., at the foot of N. Carr Street, in Old Town Tacoma, where the Silver Cloud Inn is today.
