Deliveries of Inland Barges in 2019
This table reports deliveries from U.S. shipyards of inland and coastal barges that are under 5,000 GT but over 100 feet long, as detailed in the US Coast Guard's PSIX database. Note that the PSIX no longer identifies either the builder or the owner of a new vessel. Fortunately, the builder can usually be identified by the structure of a vessel's hull # and the owner by its name: other info can be found in web sites and press reports but a few gaps remain. Note that output was down in 2019, with another major builder - JeffBoat - closing.
