Smith & Rhuland

Lunenburg NS

Most recent update: July 19, 2021.

This famous builder of schooners was started by Richard W. Smith and George A. Rhuland in 1900 and closed in 1967. After WWII, it shifted to building commercial vessels and later also to yachts: it closed in 1967. The shipyard, which is now a repair yard, was at 280 Montague Street. See it from the air on Google here.
