North Van Ship Repair
North Vancouver BC
Most recent update: July 17, 2021.
North Van Ship Repair was a repair facility founded in 1931 by Arthur Burdick, who owned Island Tug & Barge. In 1939, they built three launch ways and began building minesweepers, expanding to allow the construction of an impressive series of cargo ships. After the war, it was renamed Pacific Dry Dock and in 1951 it was sold to its next-door neighbor, Burrard Dry Dock. See the site, which is where the Lonsdale Quay complex is now, on Google here.
