Kruse & Banks
North Bend OR
Kruse & Banks Shipbuilding was founded by Knut V. Kruse, who was from Denmark, in 1902: he was joined by Robert Banks, who was from Prince Edward Island, in 1905. The original shipyard was in Marshfield but moved to North Bend about 1909. It was located where the North Bend casino is now. It closed in 1946 and the land was sold to Weyerhaeuser.
